Shipping & Returns

Delivery

All items are delivered free to UK addresses.
Most orders are shipped via Royal Mail, except heavier bulk deliveries, which are sent with a specially chosen carrier. The expensive items are sent via Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery Service. These deliveries must be signed for. They will NOT be left in garages, sheds, outside loos, porches etc. You must examine the goods before signing for them to ensure they are in good condition - if packaging is damaged please do not accept goods. Instead notify us as soon as possible. If there is no-one in to sign for the goods, they will be taken back to the Local depot and a card will be left. You can collect it later from the depot.

For mainland UK, we aim to deliver your items within 2-4 working days.

If this is your first order with us, please ensure that the only address you enter is the credit card billing address, as this is the only address to which we can deliver. If you have previously placed an order on our website, you can specify an alternative delivery address if your order value is less than 500.

Delivery to addresses outside the UK (mainland Europe), will typically take 7-10 working days. Overseas orders over 50 and less than 2kg are despatched by Royal Mail international SignedFor, at a minimum charge of 10.00.
Items under 50 and less than 0.5kg are despatched by Royal Mail Airmail International with proof of posting certificates retained.

If we are out of stock of an item or there is a problem, we will contact. you as soon as possible.

Returns and Refunds

We want you to be happy with your order. If you wish to cancel your order you may do so at any time from the day you placed the order, up to 7 working days starting the day after you received the goods without reason. A refund of all monies including postage and packing charges, will be made within 30 days of cancellation. Where the goods are not faulty or wrongly delivered by us the goods must be returned at your cost. Please ensure that you follow the advice on our invoice/delivery note.

If the product(s) has not been dispatched we will cancel the order and full payment will be refunded. If the products(s) has been dispatched and we are unable to prevent the delivery, you should refuse to sign for the goods and they will be returned to us and the cost of your order refunded.

You must cancel your order in writing, by email or telephone. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods and you must take good care of the goods whilst they are in your possession. When you return your goods please return in an "as new" and saleable condition complete with all packaging, any accessories and any supplied free gifts.

If the goods arrived damaged from you we will not be able to accept the goods.
Your rights under consumer legislation for these goods are not affected.

Please note that your right to return an item does not apply to certain items unless these items are faulty or misdescribed. Such items include:

  • CDs, DVDs and computer software, which may be restricted to an exchange for the same title to reduce the risk of unlicensed copying;
  • perishable items.

Damaged, faulty or mis-described items
On upon receipt of your goods from eLingvo Store, please inspect and inform us immediately of any damages, mis-described or missing items within 3 working days. In the event that your order is visibly damaged, do not accept the order and write "Damaged" on the delivery note along with a brief description of how or where the item is damaged. Please note that for courier companies to accept liability for damage caused in transit we must inform them of any damage within 24 hours of delivery. Therefore, you should inform us as soon as possible following delivery of the goods.

Most products are provided with a manufacturer's 12 month warranty, however if a fault is caused by misuse, negligence or accident then it may not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty and therefore any repair will be chargeable. If you decide to proceed with the repair you must confirm your acceptance to us within 14 days. If the items have been sent back to us for repair and, you do not confirm acceptance of costs then the item will be sent back to you not repaired and a charge may be payable.
The Company does not accept responsibility for the loss of any software or data stored on any system or storage media handed to the company for inspection, repair, upgrade or other.

If you have any problems with your purchase we can offer help and assistance. Being the authorised Ectaco Inc. distributor in UK we do provide our customer with full 12 month warranty on their products. We arrange repair or exchange of the faulty goods free of charge but the item(s) must be brought and collected from us at the customer cost.

Refund Policy
If you are entitled to a refund, on damaged, faulty or mis-described grounds we will refund you as follows:
if you return all items of your order at the same time on damaged, faulty or mis-described grounds we will refund the cost of your order and the delivery charge. Delivery charges will not be refunded if you return only part of the order (e.g. you have ordered two items but only return one). If items are parts of a set (translator and accessories) you must return all parts in order to qualify for a refund.

Please note refunds are made as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order.
